- Just an idea: Maybe your jumper configuration doesn't match the
- requirements for the 16 MHz version of the A3000. The A3640 board
- usually supplies its own clock for the motherboard (system and CPU
- clock connected). This might cause trouble with the on-board CPU
- although you don't want to use it anymore.

- It should be possible to supply the board clock with the external
- CPU clock of the A3640 but still run the CPU/FPU from the 16 MHz
- oscillator. I only have the A3000T schematics and am no expert, but
- I think the jumper setting J100=2-3 (16 MHz CLK90 delay setting,
- internal source), J102=1-2 (don't short CPU and board clock together
- since the board clock is already supplied by EXTCPU of the A3640)
- and J104=1-2 (internal CPU clock) would be appropriate. Try it at
- your own risk (unless you already did).
